Patras is the third largest city in Greece, the capital of the Prefecture of Achaia and is the largest economic, commercial and cultural center of the Peloponnese and western Greece, since all commercial activities with Italy and the European West start from the port of Patras. It is no coincidence that it is called “Gateway of Greece to the West”.
Although the Carnival is the pinnacle of entertainment, a multitude of scattered bars, clubs, canteens, cafes and music stages ensure the intense night life of the city, all year round.
Patras is famous for its artistic activity. Its cultural institutions, through the quality of their productions, give the city a special place on the pan-Hellenic cultural map.
In Patras you will taste the famous Tentoura, its delights and also the famous Mavrodafni of Patras. It is a city with attractions of great interest, in which you can visit, among others, the Medieval Castle, the Ancient Conservatory, the Municipal Theater of Apollo, Achaia Klaus, the Holy Temple of St.Andreus, the archaeological site of Vouteni and of course the Bridge of Rio – Antirrio “Charilaos Trikoupis”.
